Presenting the Insignia of the Unmanned Systems Forces

We are beginning to introduce you to the sleeve patches of the Unmanned Systems Forces. Here is the official insignia of the Command and of the separate military branch.

The official insignia was designed to clearly identify this innovative branch of the military and to visually cement our standards of warfare. Into the symbols we embedded imagery that highlights our technological edge and our military traditions. The central image of the Command's emblem is the peregrine falcon, the fastest bird on the planet. In the context of the USF, this choice is grounded in its natural traits: unique eyesight that allows it to lock onto a target from a great distance, and the ability to instantly change its flight path at extreme speeds. The emblem also features pernachs — Cossack maces and a symbol of a military command authority, reflecting the continuity from the Cossack officer corps to today's command. The lightning bolts symbolize speed and reliable communications. The sleeve patch of the Unmanned Systems Forces features a modified trident of the Ukrainian People's Republic with technologically sharpened lines on a hexagonal shield. The hexagon evokes cellular networks and honeycombs, symbolizing a perfect system, networked coordination, and the seamless teamwork of the Unmanned Systems Forces.

The sleeve patches were developed in cooperation with the Military Symbols and Heraldry Development Section of the Central Directorate for Materiel Support Development of the Logistics Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
