Aerial Reconnaissance Crew Operator
Combat Roles20 000-120 000 UAHUAVs and UGVs
The aerial reconnaissance crew operator plans and flies reconnaissance drone missions so that the unit has a clear picture of its area of responsibility. Prepares landmark maps, interprets collected video and imagery, reports the results and keeps the system ready for the next flight. Works as part of a crew close to the front line.
Responsibilities
- planning reconnaissance missions and flight routes for the unmanned aerial system;
- flying reconnaissance missions and gathering information on the situation;
- preparing a landmark map of the unit's area of responsibility;
- interpreting collected video and imagery and preparing reports;
- servicing the system and preparing it for flight;
- coordinating with the crew and neighbouring units during missions.
Requirements
- confident use of a computer and digital maps;
- attention to detail and the ability to analyse video footage;
- willingness to learn to operate reconnaissance drone systems;
- composure and readiness to work close to the front line;
- prior drone piloting experience is an advantage.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with the commander's consent;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 120,000;
- full provision of uniform, equipment and meals at the place of service;
- annual paid leave and statutory social guarantees.
