UAV Munitions Technician

The UAV munitions technician prepares the payloads that drones carry: adapts standard-issue munitions for FPV drones and drop systems, makes mounts and adapters, and arms the aircraft before sorties. The work demands precision and strict adherence to safety rules, since a mistake in handling explosive items carries a very high cost.
Responsibilities
- handling standard-issue munitions: grenades, rounds and mines;
- converting and adapting munitions for FPV drones and drop systems;
- fitting and securely mounting the payload on the drone with the aircraft's balance in mind;
- soldering simple electrical circuits for initiation and release systems;
- metalwork to make mounts and adapters;
- following safety rules when storing munitions and arming drones.
Requirements
- attentiveness and precision when working with explosive items;
- soldering skills and competence with hand tools;
- understanding of how munitions are built and how they function;
- strict observance of safety rules and workplace discipline;
- willingness to learn and master new types of payload.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already in military service;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 120,000;
- full material support, housing and meals;
- the unit arranges travel to its location;
- annual paid leave and statutory social guarantees.
