UAV Repair Technician
Combat Roles20 000-120 000 UAHUAVs and UGVs
The UAV repair technician brings broken drones and ground equipment back into service so that aircraft return to operations as quickly as possible. The job is to find the fault, replace components on circuit boards, tune video and control links and upgrade the hardware. Work takes place both in a workshop and directly at positions when a repair is needed on the spot.
Responsibilities
- hardware and software diagnostics of FPV, DJI, Autel and fixed-wing drones;
- diagnostics of ground control stations, signal repeaters and antennas;
- replacing chips, ports and components on circuit boards in the workshop and in the field;
- repairing and tuning video and control links on different frequencies;
- hardware and software upgrades of drones, including protection against jamming;
- integrating new modules and drop systems into existing aircraft.
Requirements
- soldering skills, including work with small components on circuit boards;
- understanding of circuit design and of how unmanned systems are built;
- ability to use measuring instruments and flash firmware to controllers;
- attentiveness, neatness and readiness to work in the field;
- experience repairing electronics or radio equipment is an advantage.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already in military service;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 120,000;
- housing, meals and everything needed for service provided;
- travel to the place of service is arranged by the unit;
- annual paid leave and statutory social guarantees.
