UAV Operator Assistant
Combat Roles20 000-120 000 UAHUAVs and UGVs
The UAV operator assistant keeps the crew running at the position: prepares the drone for flight, fits the payload, sets up antennas and ground equipment, swaps batteries and supports the operator during the sortie. Together with the operator the assistant conducts aerial reconnaissance and, over time, learns to fly the aircraft alone. No prior piloting experience is needed.
Responsibilities
- preparing the drone for flight and checking its systems before the sortie;
- arming the munition and fitting the payload;
- setting up and packing away antennas and ground equipment at the position;
- supporting the operator during the sortie and swapping batteries;
- taking part in aerial reconnaissance;
- collecting, analysing and passing gathered information to the command.
Requirements
- readiness to carry out combat tasks in areas of active hostilities;
- understanding of how a drone is built and what its parts are for;
- map-reading and navigation by coordinates and landmarks;
- physical endurance for long work at the position;
- desire to learn and eventually master flying the aircraft;
- piloting or simulator experience is an advantage.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already in military service;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 120,000;
- housing, meals and all necessary supplies provided;
- the unit arranges travel to the place of service;
- annual paid leave and statutory social guarantees.
