UAV Ground Crew Member
Combat Roles20 000-120 000 UAHUAVs and UGVs
The UAV ground crew member prepares drones for flight and arms them directly in the area of combat operations, and also scouts and sets up new launch sites. The work is done in the field as part of a crew in an unmanned systems brigade, in daily contact with the pilots; part of the job is handling munitions under safety rules and keeping the crews supplied.
Responsibilities
- setting up and servicing UAVs in the area of combat operations;
- arming UAVs before combat flights;
- handling munitions in line with safety requirements;
- reconnoitring and finding new UAV launch sites;
- setting up positions and launch sites for the crews;
- keeping UAV crews supplied with what they need;
- coordinating with neighbouring units on gathering information.
Requirements
- physical stamina and readiness to work in the field;
- basic technical skills and the ability to work with hand tools;
- attentiveness, discipline and a sense of responsibility;
- readiness to serve in areas of combat operations.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, subject to the commander's consent;
- field service in areas of combat operations;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 120,000;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided in full;
- annual paid leave and statutory social guarantees.
