UAV Crew Commander
Combat Roles20 000-120 000 UAHUAVs and UGVs
The UAV crew commander plans reconnaissance missions, assigns tasks to the crew and monitors their execution, and personally controls the aircraft during take-off and landing. The quality of the intelligence used to adjust artillery fire depends on the commander's decisions. The work is done as part of a crew in an unmanned systems regiment, in the field and in the combat zone.
Responsibilities
- planning missions for reconnaissance unmanned aerial systems;
- assigning tasks to the crew and monitoring their execution;
- controlling the aircraft during take-off and landing on combat missions;
- conducting reconnaissance, adjusting artillery fire and observing enemy activity;
- organising preparation of the system for operation and setting up communication links;
- ensuring the system remains intact and operational in field conditions;
- keeping flight records for the crew and reporting mission results.
Requirements
- experience in assigning tasks and monitoring their completion;
- confident use of computers, mobile apps and electronic devices;
- working knowledge of MS Office, Google Sheets and Excel;
- logical and analytical thinking, organisational skills;
- readiness to work in the combat zone;
- ability to work as part of a team;
- experience with maps and satellite imagery is an advantage.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with the commander's consent;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 120,000;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided;
- annual paid leave and statutory social guarantees under Ukrainian law.
