UAV Design Engineer

The UAV design engineer develops technical solutions for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and special equipment and leads projects through every stage, from design to operation. The result depends on the quality of the solutions, test outcomes and complete documentation.
Responsibilities
- managing development projects for UAVs and special equipment;
- developing technical solutions and introducing engineering improvements;
- taking part in all development stages: design, manufacturing, testing and operation;
- configuring and optimizing ArduPilot-based flight controllers;
- setting up autonomous modes, mission planning and tuning of PID controllers;
- analyzing logs and diagnosing failures;
- preparing technical documentation and engineering specifications.
Requirements
- practical experience building prototypes and carrying out ground and flight tests;
- ability to read and produce drawings, assembly diagrams and technical documentation;
- experience with CAD systems: SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Inventor, CATIA or similar;
- understanding of aerodynamics, mechanics, structural strength, center-of-gravity placement and weight balance of aircraft;
- understanding of a UAV as a complex system: structure, propulsion, autopilot, navigation, power, communication, payload;
- practical experience developing, building, configuring or upgrading UAVs is an advantage.
Conditions
- service under contract or mobilization for the duration of martial law; transfer for those already serving, with command approval;
- monthly pay from UAH 50,000;
- uniform and gear provided;
- medical care and free treatment;
- 15 days of leave every six months;
- additional leave for family circumstances where there are legal grounds.
