The driver-sapper delivers personnel, equipment and ammunition to task locations and, once there, works alongside the unit's specialists on engineering and demining tasks. Keeps the assigned vehicle ready to leave at all times and looks after the unit's vehicles. This is field service within a group, under a senior's command, and some of the tasks are combat ones.
Responsibilities
- transporting the unit's personnel and property;
- delivering ammunition to task locations;
- taking part in engineering and demining work alongside the unit's specialists;
- carrying out specific combat tasks as part of the group;
- keeping the assigned vehicle ready to leave at all times;
- looking after and servicing the unit's vehicles.
Requirements
- category B driving licence and solid driving experience;
- ability to work in a team and act on the senior's orders;
- willingness to learn and master engineering and demining skills;
- physical endurance and readiness for field conditions;
- attentiveness and discipline when handling ammunition.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 120,000;
- service includes deployments to the combat task area;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided, plus insurance and free medical care;
- annual paid leave, additional leave for family reasons and statutory social guarantees;
- professional development in the specialty.
