1st Separate Center of Unmanned Systems of the USF
The largest unit within the Defense Forces of Ukraine specializing in Deep Strike operations. We conduct reconnaissance and strike missions along the entire front line, employing a broad range of unmanned systems at the operational-tactical and strategic levels
History
The unit was established in October 2022 as the world’s first experimental Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) battalion. Its organizational model later became the basis for creating separate UAS companies in most active combat brigades of the Defense Forces.
Key milestones
- November 2022 — deep-strike operations against enemy rear areas (up to 120 km) using unmanned systems on the Kherson axis
- 22 August 2023 — the unit was officially designated as the 14th Separate UAS Regiment and expanded to three battalions
- Autumn 2023 — the regiment participated in the large-scale counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Zaporizhzhia axis
- June 2024 — the unit became part of the Unmanned Systems Forces
- 22 July 2024 — the 14th UAS Regiment formally joined the Unmanned Systems Forces
- From August 2024 — units of the 14th UAS Regiment took part in the offensive operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region
- 2024: strikes against airfields and artillery arsenals

Notable operations
- Airfields in Kushchevskyi (20.03.2024), Morozovsk (13.06.2024), and Lipetsk (09.08.2024)
- Ammunition depot in Tikhoretsk (20.09.2024) and the 67th GRAU arsenal in the Bryansk region (08.10.2024)
- 2025: more than 50 successful operations against the oil infrastructure of the Russian Federation. As a result, russia lost 38% of its oil refining capacity. Among the largest affected refineries were Ryazan, Kirishi, Volgograd, Saratov, and Novokuibyshevsk.
Throughout the year, following the regiment’s operations, the Druzhba oil pipeline was repeatedly shut down.

He became the commander of the 14th Separate UAS Regiment in August 2023 after completing a selection process and interviews with Deputy Commanders-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Values
Our values are a human-centered approach to building processes and a focus on results. We take the war onto the enemy’s territory. We ensure a transparent path into the unit and high-quality adaptation at the place of service.
