3D Modelling Engineer

The 3D modelling engineer designs 3D models of parts and assemblies for the drones of an unmanned systems center and takes them to a finished part: prepares the model for printing, sets up the printer, prints the first sample and revises the design based on the result. Selects the material to suit the part's purpose and keeps an archive of models and their documentation.
Responsibilities
- designing 3D models of parts and assemblies;
- preparing models for printing: orientation, supports, slicing;
- setting up the 3D printer and running the print;
- checking print quality and revising the model;
- selecting the material to suit the part's purpose and operating conditions;
- keeping an archive of models and supporting documentation.
Requirements
- proficiency in SolidWorks or similar 3D modelling software;
- experience creating 3D models and preparing them for printing;
- experience with 3D printers: setup and maintenance;
- knowledge of 3D printing materials such as PLA, ABS and PETG and their properties;
- understanding of 3D printing technologies: FDM, SLA, SLS;
- confident MS Office user;
- higher technical or vocational technical education.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 50,000;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided, plus benefits and insurance;
- annual paid leave plus additional leave for family reasons;
- free medical care and statutory social guarantees.
