UAV Technician

Prepares, maintains, and repairs the unit’s unmanned aerial systems. Works with hardware, modules, and components, performs fault diagnostics, and restores equipment to operational condition. Contributes to implementing technical improvements that increase reliability and effectiveness of UAV systems in real service conditions.
Responsibilities
- prepare UAV systems for operation and check readiness before tasks;
- perform routine maintenance and keep UAV systems in working condition;
- diagnose faults, repair equipment, and restore operational capability;
- replace components, configure systems, and test equipment after repair;
- support development, refinement, and integration of technical solutions to improve system performance;
- keep basic technical records of completed work and equipment status;
- carry out tasks as part of the unit, including in operational areas.
Requirements
- basic understanding of technology and interest in how UAV systems work;
- ability and willingness to learn new tools and approaches;
- confident use of computer technologies;
- ability to work in a team and deliver tasks within agreed timelines;
- medical fitness for military service and suitable personal qualities;
- readiness to work in operational areas;
- practical UAV piloting skills will be an advantage;
- understanding of frequency bands, modulation, and radio wave propagation will be an advantage;
- ability to read electronic schematics and experience repairing radio-electronic equipment will be an advantage;
- experience replacing electronic components and soldering will be an advantage.
Conditions
- contract service or mobilisation for the duration of martial law;
- training for the position after completion of basic military training;
- monetary allowance from UAH 20,000 depending on missions and service conditions;
- assignment to the designated unit;
- provision of personal protective equipment and required military gear;
- annual leave in accordance with Ukrainian legislation.
