A Driver is a service member who provides transportation for personnel and cargo, keeps the assigned vehicle mission-ready, and operates in field conditions. The role involves driving on difficult routes and damaged roads, ensuring timely vehicle availability for tasking, and performing basic day-to-day vehicle upkeep.
Responsibilities
- transport personnel and cargo as tasked by the unit;
- ensure the vehicle is available on time for missions;
- operate the vehicle in field conditions, including on damaged roads;
- keep the assigned vehicle in working technical condition;
- monitor basic tools/consumables and report faults when needed;
- maintain trip and mileage records (logs/route sheets);
- comply with traffic rules and transportation safety requirements;
- perform tasks as part of the unit in an active combat environment.
Requirements
- valid driving license categories B and C;
- confident driving skills and strong knowledge of traffic rules;
- readiness to work in an active combat environment;
- responsibility, discipline, and attention to safety;
- ability to navigate with limited or unreliable navigation/communications;
- basic vehicle upkeep skills (fluids, tires, lights; handling minor issues);
- medical fitness for military service;
- prior military service experience is an advantage.
Conditions
- mobilization for the period of martial law or contract-based service;
- transfer options for active service members (subject to standard procedures);
- provision of necessary equipment and gear;
- pre-role training;
- annual wellness allowance (where applicable under standard rules);
- pay: UAH 120,000/month while assigned to combat tasks.
