
Ground Robotic Systems Operator
A Ground Robotic Systems Operator is a service member who remotely operates ground robotic platforms (uncrewed ground vehicles) while assigned to unit missions. The role combines work with a controller, computer, and communications equipment, and supports engineering and logistics tasks in field conditions, including cargo delivery, casualty evacuation, and remote engineering operations.
Responsibilities
- operate ground robotic systems during combat tasking;
- support logistics and engineering tasks using robotic platforms;
- deliver ammunition and other supplies along assigned routes;
- assist with casualty evacuation using robotic systems;
- perform remote engineering operations (including demining/mining and placing engineering barriers) within assigned tasks and standard procedures;
- conduct pre-mission checks, monitor power/communications links, record faults and coordinate maintenance/repairs;
- follow instructions and safety requirements and maintain communications discipline.
Requirements
- basic technical knowledge (electronics, mechanics, and general IT user skills);
- ability to work with a controller, computer, and communications equipment;
- discipline and the ability to follow instructions precisely;
- physical endurance for field work;
- basic map reading/topography awareness and ability to account for terrain when planning routes;
- readiness to operate in an active combat environment;
- experience with drones, technical equipment, or simulator training is an advantage;
- confident use of controllers (gaming/simulator) is an advantage.
Conditions
- contract-based military service;
- transfer options for active service members (subject to standard procedures);
- provision of uniform, personal protective equipment, and meals;
- pay: UAH 120,000/month while assigned to combat tasks.
