A sapper performs tasks related to the engineering support of a unit, including the detection, placement, and neutralization of explosive hazards, as well as ensuring safety during movement and task execution in potentially hazardous areas.
The position requires attentiveness, discipline, adherence to safety standards, and readiness to operate according to established procedures under conditions of increased responsibility.
Responsibilities
- performing tasks related to the placement and neutralization of explosive devices;
- installing explosive and non-explosive engineering obstacles;
- conducting area clearance, detecting and neutralizing explosive hazards;
- ensuring safety during the movement of units in potentially mined areas;
- performing combat tasks as part of a unit;
- complying with discipline and safety standards during task execution;
- maintaining weapons, equipment, and ammunition in a state of readiness.
Requirements
- basic knowledge of explosive ordnance or engineering and technical training;
- practical skills or completed relevant training in sapper duties;
- willingness to learn and work as part of a team;
- fitness for service based on health condition;
- responsibility and discipline;
- readiness to acquire and develop skills in sapper operations.
Conditions
- mobilization until the end of martial law or contract-based service;
- possibility of transfer for active servicemembers with the consent of their direct commander;
- financial compensation from 20,000 to 120,000 UAH depending on tasks and place of service;
- service as part of a specialized unit;
- full material support;
- medical support and social guarantees in accordance with current legislation.
