A reconnaissance UAV operator performs aerial reconnaissance and information-gathering tasks using unmanned aerial systems as part of a unit. The role combines work with aviation equipment, mission planning, data collection and analysis, and coordination with other elements of the unit during task execution.
The position involves operating technical systems in field conditions, following established procedures, and being prepared to work under increased operational load.
Responsibilities
- operating UAVs during takeoff and landing while performing assigned tasks
- working independently or as part of a UAV crew
- preparing the system for operation (battery charging, technical checks, communication setup)
- ensuring the preservation and operational readiness of the aerial system in field conditions
- conducting flights and collecting reconnaissance data
- participating in aerial reconnaissance and situational observation
- collecting, processing, and interpreting gathered information
- working with maps, routes, and observation zones
- planning missions for UAV operations
- maintaining UAV systems within the scope of duties
- keeping flight logs and recording task results
Requirements
- confident use of computers, mobile applications, and electronic devices
- ability to work with MS Office and spreadsheets (Google Sheets, Excel)
- strong logical and analytical thinking
- experience working with maps or navigation services will be an advantage
- experience with satellite imagery will be an advantage
- basic understanding of UAV operation principles
- readiness to work in areas where combat-related tasks are performed
- ability to work as part of a team
- attention to detail and stress resistance
- no medical contraindications for work in field conditions
- willingness to learn and improve technical skills
Conditions
- mobilization until the end of martial law or contract-based service
- possibility of transfer for active servicemembers with the consent of the direct commander
