Small UAV Operator
Combat Roles20 000-120 000 UAHUAVs and UGVs
The small UAV operator flies reconnaissance missions, adjusts artillery fire and interprets the collected data. Beyond piloting, the operator plans flight routes, prepares the system for work and keeps flight records. The work is done as part of a crew in an unmanned systems regiment, in the field and in the combat zone.
Responsibilities
- planning missions and flying small unmanned aerial systems;
- controlling the aircraft during take-off and landing on combat missions;
- conducting reconnaissance, adjusting artillery fire and observing enemy activity;
- collecting intelligence and interpreting it;
- preparing the system for operation, charging batteries and setting up communication links;
- keeping the system operational in field conditions;
- keeping records of flights and their results.
Requirements
- confident use of computers, mobile apps and electronic devices;
- logical thinking and analytical skills;
- attention to detail and resilience under stress;
- ability to work in a team and as part of a crew;
- readiness to work in the combat zone;
- experience with maps and satellite imagery is an advantage.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with the commander's approval;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 120,000;
- full provision of uniform, equipment and meals;
- annual paid leave and statutory social guarantees under Ukrainian law.
