Small UAV Operator
Combat Roles20 000-120 000 UAHUAVs and UGVs
The small UAV operator flies unmanned aerial vehicles as part of a platoon crew: prepares the aircraft for launch, controls it in different conditions and terrain, and analyzes the footage received. The work is done in the field, with reporting and coordination with other units.
Responsibilities
- controlling unmanned aerial vehicles in different conditions and terrain;
- preparing and configuring drones before flight tasks;
- flying reconnaissance, strike and fire-adjustment missions;
- analyzing the data received, working with video footage and target coordinates;
- maintaining drones and fixing faults;
- keeping reports and records of flights and completed tasks;
- coordinating with other units on the use of drones in combat conditions.
Requirements
- knowledge of how drones work and how to operate them;
- physical endurance and readiness to work in field conditions;
- readiness for deployments to the combat zone;
- readiness to learn;
- experience flying drones is an advantage.
Conditions
- enlistment under contract or through mobilization; those already serving can transfer within the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 120,000;
- uniform and meals provided;
- annual paid leave;
- social guarantees provided by law.
