Carpenter
Non-Combat Roles20 000-50 000 UAHTechnical / Engineering
The carpenter makes and repairs wooden structures for the regiment's shelters and positions: panels, decking, overhead covers, formwork and the timber elements of dugouts and trenches. Works with hand and power tools both in the workshop and on site where urgent repairs are needed, so the job combines workshop tasks with field trips.
Responsibilities
- making panels, decking, overhead covers and formwork for shelters;
- making and repairing the wooden structures of dugouts and trenches;
- reinforcing the timber elements of engineering barriers and auxiliary structures;
- cutting, processing and fitting timber before joining the elements;
- working with hand tools, power tools and woodworking machinery;
- urgent repair work on site where tasks are carried out;
- following occupational and fire safety rules.
Requirements
- experience as a carpenter, joiner or in woodworking is an advantage;
- knowledge of timber properties and ways of joining structures;
- ability to work with saws, planes, screwdrivers and petrol-powered tools;
- skills in making and repairing wooden structures of varying complexity;
- physical endurance and readiness to work in field conditions;
- discipline and the ability to work in a team.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization for the duration of martial law; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 50,000;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided, free medical care;
- annual paid leave and statutory social guarantees.
