The carpenter and joiner makes and installs timber structures for field fortifications and for the everyday needs of the brigade's quarters: cuts lumber to drawings, machines the workpieces, assembles structures on site and repairs what has worn out. Works both in the workshop and at the positions, with whatever material and tools are available.
Responsibilities
- carpentry work in the construction of field fortifications;
- cutting lumber to drawings and specified dimensions;
- machining workpieces: planing, sanding, routing;
- assembling and installing timber structures on site;
- repairing furniture, doors and household fixtures in the quarters;
- maintaining carpentry tools and workshop equipment.
Requirements
- vocational training or practical experience in construction;
- knowledge of the properties of wood and how to work it;
- ability to read drawings and technical documentation;
- experience with hand and power woodworking tools;
- adherence to occupational safety rules.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with their commander's consent;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 50,000;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided, plus military service benefits;
- annual paid leave, additional leave and statutory social guarantees.
