Communications Group System Administrator

The communications group system administrator keeps the unit's networks and communication equipment running and protects data in its IT infrastructure. Works with network hardware, radio and digital communications and user accounts; the result depends on accurate configuration and fast fixing of failures.
Responsibilities
- configuring, managing and supporting equipment and network infrastructure, administering the unit's local networks;
- deploying, configuring and maintaining radio and digital communication equipment;
- troubleshooting communication and IT infrastructure problems;
- managing user accounts, access rights and security policies, controlling access to resources;
- managing Active Directory (users, computers, groups, organizational units);
- backing up data, building disaster recovery systems and installing operating system updates;
- monitoring user activity, logging and securing the IT infrastructure.
Requirements
- more than 1 year of experience in IT;
- experience administering an office network (level 2 and level 3 network equipment);
- experience with Windows 10 and 11, Windows Server, VPN, VLAN, LDAP and Active Directory, including setting up and supporting a domain controller;
- basic understanding of Windows and Linux (Debian, Red Hat), experience installing and configuring office software;
- understanding of cybersecurity and data protection basics;
- understanding of programming and automation concepts, including REST API, and ability to demonstrate Internet of Things (IoT) solutions;
- previous experience as an IT support specialist, system administrator or network administrator is an advantage.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 50,000;
