A Communications Specialist maintains the operation of communication systems used by the unit during missions. The role focuses on installing and configuring radio equipment, maintaining communication networks, and quickly resolving technical issues affecting connectivity
Responsibilities
- install and configure radio equipment and communication frequencies;
- inspect, diagnose, and repair communication devices and related hardware;
- update equipment software and restore communication in case of technical failures or damage;
- organize and maintain communication between unit elements and command posts;
- maintain technical logs and track communication equipment.
Requirements
- understanding of basic radio communication principles, wired networks, and electrical fundamentals;
- basic knowledge of telecommunications or networking technologies;
experience with radios, network equipment, or computer hardware will be an advantage; - responsibility, discipline, and attention to technical detail;
- ability to learn new equipment quickly and work effectively in a team.
Conditions
- military service under contract or within the mobilization framework;
- possibility of transfer for currently serving personnel with command approval;
- provision of required equipment and service gear;
- training and preparation before starting duties in the role;
- service within an unmanned systems unit.
