An OSINT specialist is responsible for searching, verifying, and analyzing information from open sources in order to support unit decision-making. The role involves working with textual, visual, and mapping data, as well as preparing analytical materials for further use.
The position requires attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to work with large volumes of open-source information while following information security requirements.
Responsibilities
- searching, verifying, and analyzing information from open sources (media, social networks, satellite imagery, etc.);
- working with visual content, databases, and tracking tools;
- identifying objects, equipment, and positions based on open-source data;
- preparing information summaries, analytical briefs, and maps;
- organizing, systematizing, and updating analysis results.
Requirements
- basic experience or training in OSINT, analytics, information security, or related fields;
- confident computer skills and use of search tools;
- ability to work with mapping services;
- critical thinking and ability to verify information sources;
- attention to detail, accuracy, and discipline;
- ability to process large amounts of information;
- willingness to learn and develop analytical skills;
- fitness for service based on health condition.
Conditions
- mobilization until the end of martial law or contract-based service;
- possibility of transfer for active servicemembers with the consent of their direct commander;
- financial compensation from 50,000 to 120,000 UAH depending on tasks and place of service;
