The communications specialist provides the unit's radio communications during missions and keeps its data networks running. The work combines a field side, deploying repeaters and keeping crews connected on missions, with a technical one: flashing and keeping records of radios, configuring routers and VPN connections, installing and administering software.
Responsibilities
- providing the unit's radio communications during missions;
- deploying repeaters and keeping them operational;
- keeping data transmission networks running;
- configuring the unit's routers and VPN connections;
- flashing firmware and keeping records of the unit's radios;
- installing and administering software.
Requirements
- confident computer user;
- configuring MikroTik equipment, building and administering networks;
- knowledge of radio communications and experience with Motorola radios;
- skills in flashing radio firmware and configuring software on PC and Android;
- physical stamina for carrying equipment.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 120,000;
