
UAV Engineer
Non-Combat Roles20 000-50 000 UAHUAVs and UGVs
The UAV engineer makes a drone reliable before it ever takes off: configures flight controllers, integrates navigation, telemetry and sensors, and sets up communication between onboard components. The work takes place in the technical team of an unmanned systems brigade, from tuning filters and PID control to ground and flight tests and fixing the faults they reveal.
Responsibilities
- configuring and optimizing flight controllers, including Pixhawk;
- integrating navigation, telemetry and sensor systems;
- tuning filters, gyroscopes, accelerometers and PID control;
- setting up communication between components over SBUS, ELRS and CRSF protocols;
- checking aircraft stability in ground and flight tests;
- fixing onboard equipment faults based on test results.
Requirements
- experience with SpeedyBee, Betaflight, Pixhawk and ArduPilot;
- knowledge of current radio and video signal transmission technologies;
- ability to tune filters, gyroscopes, accelerometers and PID controllers;
- hands-on experience with PWM, PPM, SBUS, ELRS and CRSF protocols;
- ability to configure navigation systems and sensors.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 50,000;
- service in the rear, away from the combat zone;
- housing provided; uniform, equipment and meals provided;
- 15 days of leave every six months and statutory social guarantees.
