
Explosives Engineer

The explosives engineer studies munitions from the inside: identifies the types, designs and operating principles of explosive devices, disassembles samples, organizes controlled test detonations and records the results. On this basis, the engineer prepares handling instructions for explosives and advises the unit's developers on neutralizing explosive components.
Responsibilities
- identifying the types, designs and operating principles of explosive devices;
- disassembling samples to study their composition and triggering mechanisms;
- organizing and conducting test detonations under controlled conditions;
- analyzing blast loads on structures, soils and protective materials;
- keeping test logs and recording the results obtained;
- developing handling instructions for explosives and munitions;
- advising developers on neutralizing explosive components.
Requirements
- completed explosive ordnance disposal training;
- hands-on experience with explosives and detonators;
- experience handling various types of munitions;
- deep understanding of the theory of explosives;
- attention to detail and strict adherence to safety measures;
- ability to prepare reports on test results.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 50,000;
- service in the rear, outside the combat zone;
- housing and meals provided, along with uniform and equipment;
- annual paid leave and statutory social guarantees.
