CNC Machining Process Engineer

The CNC machining process engineer develops and supports manufacturing processes for parts made on computer-controlled machine tools: selects cutting tools, cutting parameters and fixtures, takes part in machine setup and corrects deviations. The work takes place at the production facility of an unmanned systems brigade, alongside design engineers and machine operators.
Responsibilities
- developing, introducing and supporting machining process routes;
- selecting cutting tools, cutting parameters, fixtures and tooling;
- taking part in machine setup and first-part trials;
- correcting process deviations during part manufacturing;
- calculating material consumption rates and labour time standards;
- working together with design engineers, CNC programmers and machine operators;
- improving processes to reduce cost and raise productivity.
Requirements
- experience as a process engineer in CNC machining;
- confident reading of drawings, knowledge of tolerance and fit systems;
- understanding of CNC programming principles and work with CAD and CAM software;
- knowledge of machining technologies and metal properties;
- experience in selecting tools and cutting parameters for specific materials;
- ability to work standing for long periods and lift up to 40 kg.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 50,000;
- rear-area service, housing provided;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided;
- annual paid leave and statutory social guarantees.
