The communications specialist builds and maintains the internal communications of an unmanned systems brigade: mounts antennas on roofs and masts, runs cable networks and configures radios, routers and Starlink terminals. Much of the work is hands-on, with tools and at height; it keeps the link with combat positions from breaking and gets faults fixed quickly.
Responsibilities
- installing, configuring and maintaining the unit's communications systems;
- working with radios, routers and Starlink terminals;
- mounting antennas and other equipment on roofs, masts and poles;
- running cable networks at the unit's sites;
- providing the unit's internal communications;
- maintaining the link with combat positions and fixing outages.
Requirements
- basic knowledge of communications equipment and an understanding of how radio communication works;
- practical skills with tools and equipment;
- readiness to work at height when mounting antennas;
- integrity, discipline and the ability to work in a team;
- relevant education is an advantage.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 50,000 to UAH 120,000;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided;
- insurance and free medical care;
- annual paid leave plus 10 days of additional leave for family reasons;
- benefits and statutory social guarantees.
