Radar Operator

The radar operator detects enemy artillery, projectiles and other moving objects, determines their coordinates and passes the data to the command post for decision-making. The work is done in the combat zone and under radio jamming: the operator sets the station's operating modes, analyses the information in specialised software and coordinates with neighbouring units.
Responsibilities
- timely detection of enemy artillery, projectiles and other moving objects;
- determining the exact coordinates of detected targets;
- passing target data to the command post for decision-making;
- processing and analysing radar information using specialised software;
- setting the station's operating modes and keeping it combat-ready;
- measures to extend target detection range under radio jamming;
- coordinating with neighbouring units to pass on data.
Requirements
- confident use of computer applications and electronic devices;
- responsibility and the ability to make quick, well-founded decisions;
- ability to work in a team and follow established procedures;
- readiness to work in an active combat zone;
- a driving licence is an advantage.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 50,000 to UAH 120,000;
- full uniform, equipment and meals provided;
- annual paid leave and 10 days of additional leave for family reasons;
- insurance, free medical care and statutory social guarantees.
