The embedded developer creates embedded software for electronic devices and checks how they work. Writes firmware for microcontrollers, debugs the hardware, tests finished devices and describes the solutions in technical documentation.
Responsibilities
- developing embedded software (firmware) in C and C++ for microcontrollers and processors;
- reading signals from sensors, handling events and controlling external mechanisms of the device;
- configuring digital and analog communication interfaces: SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, USB;
- debugging hardware and testing finished electronic devices;
- debugging code and tracking down errors with dedicated debuggers;
- reading circuit diagrams and datasheets for electronic components;
- writing technical documentation for the device and describing the code.
Requirements
- experience configuring, integrating or modifying ArduPilot;
- experience developing embedded systems based on STM32, ESP32, RP2040 or similar microcontrollers;
- experience with MAVLink;
- understanding of UART, CAN, I2C, SPI, USB and PWM, with hands-on experience debugging them;
- knowledge of Python for test automation, log analysis and building auxiliary engineering tools;
- ability to analyze flight logs and find the causes of software, hardware and system problems;
- hands-on experience with UAVs and their onboard systems is an advantage.
Conditions
- mobilization for the duration of martial law or service under contract; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 50,000;
- uniform and equipment provided;
- medical care and free treatment;
- 15 days of leave every six months; additional leave for family circumstances where there are legal grounds.
