Mechatronics Engineer / Ground Robotic Systems Technician

The mechatronics engineer brings ground robotic systems back into service after missions: finds the cause of a failure, repairs motors, gearboxes, drives and cable harnesses and checks the vehicle before its next task. This is workshop work in the maintenance element of an unmanned systems brigade, using a multimeter, soldering station and hand tools.
Responsibilities
- diagnosing faults in the mechanical, electrical and electronic systems of the vehicles;
- servicing and repairing motors, gearboxes, drives and controllers;
- repairing sensors, cable harnesses and connectors;
- checking power systems, batteries and charging equipment;
- analyzing the causes of overheating, loss of traction, vibration and overloads;
- preparing the vehicles for deployment and inspecting them on return.
Requirements
- understanding of how electromechanical systems are built;
- knowledge of how electric motors, gearboxes, drives and sensors work;
- ability to read electrical diagrams and mechanical drawings;
- skills with a multimeter, soldering station and hand tools;
- ability to repair cables, connectors and electrical joints.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization for the duration of martial law; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 50,000;
- full provision of uniform, equipment and meals;
- annual paid leave and statutory social guarantees.
