Ground Robotic Systems Operator — a role focused on remotely driving and managing uncrewed ground platforms to support combat operations, including delivery of critical supplies, casualty evacuation, and assigned engineering tasks such as mining and demining. The work requires technical attention, reliable use of communications and navigation systems, and the ability to adjust decisions quickly during a mission.
Responsibilities
- remotely operate ground robotic systems during mission tasking in combat areas;
- support supply delivery to positions and casualty evacuation using robotic platforms;
- carry out assigned engineering tasks on designated areas, including mining and demining, within established procedures;
- prepare the system before each mission: configuration, checks of subsystems, communications links, and operating parameters;
- monitor the platform during movement, respond to changes, and adjust route/trajectory as required;
- coordinate actions with adjacent teams to ensure task completion;
- maintain technical notes and concise mission reporting (system status, sorties, and issues observed).
Requirements
- basic technical knowledge (electronics, mechanics, and general IT user skills);
- confident use of a controller, computer, and communications equipment;
- ability to work with navigation and observation tools; basic route-planning awareness;
- discipline and ability to follow procedures precisely;
- stress tolerance and sound decision-making in fast-changing conditions;
- attention to detail, responsibility, and teamwork;
- readiness to operate in field conditions, including an active combat environment;
- experience with robotics, drones, or technical equipment is an advantage.
