The communications specialist keeps the unit reliably connected during combat operations: sets up and maintains radios and other communications equipment, monitors signal quality between points and repairs faults in devices and lines, including in the combat zone. Keeps records of the equipment. The work is within the unit, often in the field.
Responsibilities
- maintaining and setting up military communications equipment;
- keeping the unit's communications systems running without interruption;
- monitoring signal quality between communications points;
- diagnosing and repairing faults in communications devices and lines;
- carrying out combat tasks as part of the unit, including in the combat zone;
- keeping records of communications equipment and maintaining it in working order.
Requirements
- readiness to carry out tasks in combat areas;
- experience with communications equipment and knowledge of technical systems;
- resilience under stress and the ability to handle large amounts of information;
- willingness to learn and master new equipment;
- higher education in engineering or electronics is an advantage.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 50,000 to UAH 100,000;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided, plus statutory benefits, insurance and free medical treatment;
- annual paid leave and additional leave for family reasons.
