Strike UAV Pilot Instructor (Vampire)

The Vampire strike UAV pilot instructor passes combat experience on to new crews: teaches classes under the training programme, prepares training flights, plans missions and routes and oversees every sortie from aircraft preparation to landing. The work takes place on the training ground and in the classroom, with responsibility for the level of every crew that graduates.
Responsibilities
- teaching classes under the pilot training programme;
- preparing training flights, planning missions and routes;
- assessing weather conditions and servicing equipment before flights;
- conducting and overseeing the full cycle of a training flight;
- supporting trainees throughout the training process;
- preparing and updating training materials;
- reporting on training results.
Requirements
- combat experience operating the Vampire UAV;
- ability to set up, assemble and repair a strike drone;
- knowledge of the Vampire hardware and software;
- strong communication skills and experience speaking to an audience;
- a military qualification related to unmanned aircraft systems;
- an instructor's certificate is an advantage.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 50,000;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided;
- annual paid leave of 30 calendar days, with up to 10 additional days for family reasons;
- support from the unit's psychologists.
