
Combat Medic

The combat medic goes out on missions together with the drone crews of a State Border Guard Service unit and treats the wounded on the spot. Takes part in evacuation, accompanies casualties to a medical or stabilisation point, follows up on their further treatment and makes sure the unit never runs short of medical supplies.
Responsibilities
- providing first aid to the wounded and sick;
- taking part in evacuating the wounded from the mission area;
- accompanying the wounded to medical and stabilisation points;
- following up on the further stages of service members' treatment;
- measures to prevent illness and injury in the unit;
- checking that the unit is fully stocked with medical supplies.
Requirements
- tactical medicine training or willingness to complete it;
- physical endurance to evacuate a casualty from the battlefield;
- ability to act quickly and calmly in critical situations;
- attentiveness and care when handling medical supplies;
- medical education is an advantage.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the State Border Guard Service or the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 120,000;
- housing and meals from the day of arrival, even before formal enlistment;
- the unit arranges the candidate's transport to the place of service;
- full provision of uniform and equipment;
- annual paid leave and statutory social guarantees.
