The platoon combat medic gives first aid to the wounded directly where the injury occurs: stops bleeding, stabilizes the casualty and accompanies them to the next stage of evacuation. Goes on missions together with the platoon, keeps first-aid kits and medical supplies fully stocked and regularly trains personnel to provide aid before the medic arrives.
Responsibilities
- providing first aid to service members wounded on the battlefield;
- taking part in the evacuation of wounded and sick personnel;
- accompanying the unit during combat missions;
- checking that the unit is fully stocked with medical supplies;
- restocking and maintaining personnel's individual first-aid kits;
- running medical training sessions for personnel.
Requirements
- readiness to work in an active combat zone;
- good physical fitness and endurance;
- resilience under stress and the ability to act under fire;
- medical education is an advantage;
- prior military service is an advantage.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 50,000 to UAH 120,000;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided, plus statutory benefits;
- annual paid leave and additional leave;
- opportunities for professional development.
