
Drone Squad Leader

The drone squad leader commands a team of operators in a State Border Guard Service drone unit: sets flight tasks, monitors their execution and personally operates systems of various types, including remote engagement of targets. Responsible for the training of the team and the serviceability of equipment so that the squad can move to a position at any moment.
Responsibilities
- organising the squad's work during combat missions;
- remotely piloting a drone to engage targets;
- operating unmanned aerial systems of various types;
- assigning tasks to operators and monitoring their completion;
- training squad members to work with drones;
- checking the serviceability of systems and the squad's readiness to deploy to a position.
Requirements
- readiness to carry out combat tasks in combat zones;
- understanding of drone design and control principles;
- ability to navigate using a map, coordinates and landmarks;
- organisational ability and skill in working with people;
- resilience under stress and willingness to learn;
- drone experience and combat experience are an advantage.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the State Border Guard Service or the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 120,000;
- housing and meals from the day of arrival, even before formal enlistment;
- the unit arranges the candidate's transport to the place of service;
- full provision of uniform and equipment;
- annual paid leave and statutory social guarantees.
