The sapper prepares munitions and initiation devices for the unit's unmanned systems and fits them to aircraft before flight. The role also covers finding and neutralizing explosive objects, transporting munitions, keeping records and monitoring storage conditions. The work follows strict procedures within an engineering team, with deployments to combat task areas.
Responsibilities
- preparing munitions for combat use;
- checking and preparing initiation devices;
- fitting munitions and initiation devices to drones before flight;
- detecting and destroying or neutralizing explosive objects;
- transporting munitions in compliance with safety rules;
- keeping records of munitions and initiation devices and monitoring their storage conditions.
Requirements
- basic knowledge and skills in engineering and demining work;
- ability to strictly follow established procedures when handling explosives;
- physical endurance and readiness to work in the field;
- ability to work in a team and a wish to grow professionally as a sapper;
- prior service in a sapper role is an advantage;
- a technical education is an advantage.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, subject to the commander's consent;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 120,000;
- service with deployments to areas where combat tasks are carried out;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided, plus insurance and free medical care;
- annual paid leave and 10 additional days of leave for family reasons;
- professional development in the field of the position.
