A Weapons and Military Equipment Service Officer oversees the serviceability of weapons, armored vehicles, and specialized equipment, organizing maintenance and repairs and ensuring safe storage and use. The role includes record keeping and reporting, coordinating supply and distribution of technical resources and ammunition, and working with other technical support functions.
Responsibilities
- ensure weapons, military vehicles, and specialized equipment remain serviceable and organize routine and major repairs;
- maintain equipment and weapons records, prepare reports, and conduct regular reconciliations with unit elements;
- control proper storage and use of weapons and equipment and ensure safety requirements during operation;
- organize receipt, distribution, and renewal of technical resources and ammunition;
- lead the service function, brief personnel, and coordinate with technical support units.
Requirements
- higher education in a technical or military field;
- confident computer skills, including office software, and ability to work with records and reporting;
- strong organizational skills, responsibility, and ability to lead personnel;
- attention to detail and readiness for routine reporting work.
Conditions
- military service under contract or within a mobilization framework;
- transfer options for currently serving personnel subject to command approval;
- provision of required equipment and service gear;
- training and preparation before starting duties in the role;
- annual leave in accordance with Ukrainian law;
- service within an unmanned systems unit.
