
Radio Operator

The radio operator maintains radio communication between the units of an unmanned systems brigade and cooperating military formations: receives and transmits messages, handles radiograms and keeps watch on assigned frequencies. The work is done on duty shifts, including at night, following radio procedure; the operator also looks after the radios assigned to them.
Responsibilities
- maintaining radio communication with units and military formations;
- transmitting and receiving messages via radios and other communication means;
- monitoring radio frequencies and handling radiograms;
- servicing and adjusting radio equipment;
- keeping assigned radio equipment safe and using it properly;
- following radio procedure and the rules for handling classified information.
Requirements
- clear diction and the ability to pass on information concisely;
- basic knowledge of how radios are built and work;
- attentiveness and the ability to stay alert on long duty shifts;
- discipline and strict handling of classified information.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with the commander's consent;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 120,000;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided;
- annual paid leave and statutory social guarantees under Ukrainian law.
