The radio station mechanic-operator deploys the communication equipment of an unmanned systems brigade, gets it ready for use and keeps communication stable within the unit and with neighbouring units. The work is mostly done in the field: servicing radios and network equipment, fixing faults, replacing antennas and power sources, and keeping records of assigned equipment.
Responsibilities
- deploying communication equipment and preparing it for operation;
- servicing radios and communication hardware;
- keeping communication stable within the unit and with neighbouring units;
- supporting and administering network equipment;
- troubleshooting faults, replacing antennas and power supply components;
- keeping records of assigned communication equipment and monitoring its condition.
Requirements
- technical aptitude and an understanding of how radio communication works;
- readiness to learn new communication equipment and its configuration;
- attention to detail and responsibility for assigned equipment;
- physical stamina for work in the field.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, subject to the commander's consent;
- work mostly in field conditions;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 120,000;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided;
- annual paid leave and statutory social guarantees.
