Radio Communications Specialist (R&D)

The radio communications specialist on the research and development team configures and integrates different communication systems, tests them in field trials and, based on the results, prepares recommendations that determine what the unit will use next. The work combines hands-on engineering with research into new solutions and requires careful reporting on every test.
Responsibilities
- configuring and integrating various radio communication systems;
- developing approaches for using different types of communication;
- taking part in field tests of digital communication equipment;
- researching new communication solutions and assessing their suitability for the unit;
- keeping documentation and reports on work carried out and tests performed;
- preparing recommendations on the use of proven communication equipment.
Requirements
- higher education, preferably in radio physics or a related field;
- experience with radio and cellular communication systems;
- skills in configuring IP-based systems and programming in Python;
- micro-soldering and assembly skills for radio-electronic components;
- knowledge of English at B2 level or higher;
- confident use of MS Office for reporting.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 50,000;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided, plus insurance and free medical care;
- annual paid leave and 10 additional days of leave for family reasons;
- benefits and statutory social guarantees.
