Ground Robotic System Operator
Combat Roles20 000-120 000 UAHUAVs and UGVs
The ground robotic system operator remotely drives the platform over difficult terrain using a video link and electronic maps, plans routes and operates the weapon module. The work is done as part of a crew in an unmanned systems brigade, in long shifts at the controls; the operator also learns different types of platforms and keeps the assigned vehicle in working order.
Responsibilities
- remotely driving the platform using a video link and electronic maps;
- manoeuvring over difficult terrain — craters, ruins, tree lines;
- plotting new routes to accomplish assigned tasks;
- operating the weapon module with machine guns and automatic grenade launchers;
- mastering platforms on tracked and wheeled chassis;
- keeping the assigned vehicle in working order.
Requirements
- confident use of a computer and electronic maps;
- experience driving vehicles or working with joysticks and control consoles;
- readiness to learn different types of platforms;
- composure and focus during long shifts.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with the commander's consent;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 120,000;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided;
- annual paid leave and statutory social guarantees under Ukrainian law.
