A crew driver is responsible for transporting personnel and equipment, as well as maintaining the operational condition of assigned vehicles. The position involves working as part of a unit, following discipline requirements, and ensuring reliable transport support during task execution.
The role combines vehicle operation, basic technical maintenance, and coordination with commanders and crew members.
Responsibilities
- operating assigned vehicles;
- transporting personnel and cargo according to assigned tasks;
- keeping vehicles in proper working condition and constant readiness for use;
- maintaining the vehicle and understanding its technical and operational characteristics;
- ensuring timely vehicle availability for task execution;
- following commanders’ orders and maintaining discipline.
Requirements
- valid driver’s license categories B and C (categories D and E are an advantage);
- experience driving vehicles, including cargo vehicles;
- knowledge of vehicle operation and maintenance rules;
- basic skills in performing minor vehicle repairs will be an advantage;
- punctuality, responsibility, and stress resistance;
- ability to work as part of a team and follow service requirements;
- fitness for military service based on health condition.
Conditions
- mobilization until the end of martial law or contract-based service;
- possibility of transfer for active servicemembers with the consent of the direct commander;
- possibility of service in support roles based on medical fitness for service;
- financial compensation in accordance with current legislation;
- guaranteed annual basic leave;
- full material and medical support in accordance with legislation.
