The crane operator runs a truck-mounted crane for loading, assembly and repair-and-recovery work: lifts and moves loads, sets structures and equipment in place, and inspects the crane and lifting gear every day. The role supports engineering work in an unmanned systems regiment; part of the tasks are carried out in the field, following slinging and occupational safety rules.
Responsibilities
- operating a truck-mounted crane and other lifting equipment at unit sites;
- loading, unloading and positioning cargo, structures and equipment;
- checking load weight, slinging schemes and hand signals during lifts;
- daily inspection of the crane and lifting gear before starting work;
- fixing minor faults and reporting repair needs to the commander;
- taking part in engineering, logistics and repair-and-recovery work in the field;
- recording crane operation and completed work in technical logs.
Requirements
- certificate as a truck crane operator or crane driver;
- driving licence in the category matching the vehicle type;
- knowledge of the design and operating rules of lifting equipment;
- knowledge of slinging rules and hand signals used in lifting operations;
- ability to service the equipment and spot faults;
- attentiveness, technical thinking and readiness to work in the field.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 50,000;
- free medical care;
- annual paid leave in line with the law.
