Radar Operator

The radar operator conducts radar surveillance of the airspace so that hostile aircraft are spotted before they reach the unit's positions. The operator monitors the station's operating parameters, analyses and passes on the results, and reports targets and faults to the commander. Work in a radar crew of an unmanned systems regiment requires sustained concentration.
Responsibilities
- conducting radar surveillance of the airspace;
- monitoring the operating parameters of the radar station and its equipment;
- configuring the station's automated systems and monitoring their operation;
- analysing surveillance results and passing them on to the right recipients;
- monitoring the technical condition of the station's equipment;
- reporting detected targets and faults to the commander.
Requirements
- advanced computer user skills;
- digital literacy and willingness to learn new things;
- ability to make decisions under stress;
- attentiveness and ability to stay focused for long periods;
- precision and discipline at work;
- ability to work in a team and as part of an operating crew.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 120,000;
- free medical care;
- annual paid leave guaranteed by law.
