A duty service communications specialist is responsible for continuous monitoring of communication networks and technical systems, situational control, and coordination of technical actions during duty shifts. The role includes working with monitoring software, incident logging, report preparation, and coordination with units. The primary focus is communication stability, rapid response, and accurate record keeping.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring the technical condition of communication equipment and networks using specialized software;
- Controlling radio and air situation and conducting communication checks with units;
- Coordinating technical activities in a dispatcher role and interacting with responsible specialists;
- Logging incidents, maintaining journals, records, and statistics;
- Advising command staff on communication coverage and system availability;
- Preparing urgent and unscheduled reports.
Requirements
- Attention to detail and ability to work with technical information;
- Basic understanding of communication networks and communication systems;
- Strong organizational skills and responsibility during duty shifts;
- Ability to follow procedures, instructions, and operational algorithms;
- Willingness to learn and work in a shift-based environment.
