
Auto Electrician

The auto electrician keeps the electrical systems of the brigade's vehicle fleet in working order: traces wiring faults, repairs starters, alternators and batteries and configures electronic control units. Whether the crews get out on time depends on this work. The job is workshop-based, using diagnostic scanners and specialized software.
Responsibilities
- diagnosing vehicle electrical and electronic systems with scanners;
- tracing wiring breaks and replacing faulty cables and connectors;
- repairing and servicing starters, alternators and batteries;
- configuring ECU control units, SRS safety systems and ABS braking systems;
- installing additional electrical equipment on the unit's vehicles;
- keeping records of completed work and spare parts needed.
Requirements
- experience as an auto electrician;
- knowledge of how vehicle electrical systems work;
- ability to find and fix faults independently;
- skills with diagnostic equipment and software;
- compliance with safety rules when working with electrical equipment;
- attention to detail and a desire to improve skills.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, subject to the commander's consent;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 50,000;
- service in the rear, away from the combat zone, with housing provided;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided;
- 15 days of leave every six months.
