Automated Systems Engineer
Non-Combat Roles20 000-50 000 UAHTechnical / Engineering
The automated systems engineer develops automatic control systems and guidance models and assesses their stability. The work is computational and mathematical, built on control theory, mechanics and aerodynamics, and carried out using programming and simulation.
Responsibilities
- developing automatic control systems;
- designing control loops based on the Chikolev–Polzunov–Watt principle;
- designing control loops based on the Poncelet principle;
- developing guidance models, from a linear model to Bessel-type generalizations;
- analyzing stability using the Routh, Hurwitz, Nyquist, Lyapunov, Mikhailov and other criteria.
Requirements
- knowledge of automatic control theory: transfer functions, state matrix, optimum condition;
- knowledge of proportional guidance theory (PN, TPN, OTPN, GTPN) and other guidance paradigms;
- knowledge of the Kalman filter and Takesaki algorithm for 2-, 3- and 4-dimensional states; Cholesky calculation of state, correlation and covariance matrices;
- knowledge of aerodynamics, theoretical mechanics (equations of motion, Lie groups, quaternions), mathematical physics, real analysis and complex analysis;
- ability to develop models of mechanical motion and controllers (PID and variations, nonlinear, adaptive) and to analyze the stability of nonlinear systems;
- basic understanding of robust control theory: H-infinity, H2, LQG, LQR and mu-synthesis;
- programming and simulation in Python and Simulink.
Conditions
- contract service or mobilization; those already in the military can transfer;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 50,000;
- provision of uniform, equipment and meals;
- right to annual paid leave;
- social guarantees for service members under the law.
