Explosive Ordnance Specialist

The explosive ordnance specialist is responsible for safe handling of munitions and initiating devices at the brigade's testing site: monitors how they are stored and moved, prepares equipment for trials and renders safe items that failed to function as intended. The work requires strict adherence to safety procedures and involves access to sensitive information.
Responsibilities
- organising and enforcing the rules for handling munitions and detonators;
- monitoring how munitions are stored, moved and used at the testing site;
- preparing equipment and materials needed for trials;
- working with munitions of various types, including improvised explosive devices;
- rendering safe items that failed to function as intended during trials;
- ensuring safety procedures are followed at every stage of work with explosive materials.
Requirements
- experience in handling munitions and initiating devices;
- knowledge of the rules for storing and transporting explosive materials;
- attentiveness and strict adherence to safety instructions;
- physical ability to lift and carry ammunition boxes;
- composure and focus when working with explosive items.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, subject to the commander's approval;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 50,000;
- housing and meals provided;
- uniform, equipment and supplies provided;
- annual paid leave and statutory social guarantees;
- service in the rear, away from the combat zone, is possible.
